Salt-crusted potatoes with herring fillets in tomato mozzarella cream sauce

Baking time: 10 min.

Ingredients for 4 portions:

200g salt

800g small new potatoes
2 cans Rügen Fisch herring fillets in tomato mozzarella cream sauce, each 200g

Preparation method:

Dissolve the salt in 800ml of hot water. Wash the potatoes and cook in the salted water for approx. 15 min.

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C (upper/lower heat: 220°C). Lay the drained potatoes on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment and continue to cook in the pre-heated oven for approx. 10 min. This produces a tasty white crust like hoar frost. Serve the potatoes hot with the herring fillets. Heat the herring fillets with the sauce briefly if desired.

Tip: Try the potatoes with other Rügen Fisch specialities, such as "Rügen Fisch herring fillets in paprika cream sauce" or "Rügen Fisch salmon fillet with Mediterranean tomato sauce".
