To strengthen our IT team in Sassnitz on the island of Rügen, we are looking for an:

IT Manager (w/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • IT management and leadership
    • Develop and retain a high-performing IT team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training and development, coaching and performance management
    • Serving as leader and mentor for all IT staff
    • Ensure the IS IT team is aligned with the standards of quality and services of IS IT in the organization
    • Facilitate and support Productivity programs as needed to improve the plant’s overall competitive position and overall cost of operations
  • IT strategy and execution
    • Own and constantly develop the local IS /IT roadmap considering the current requirements
    • Develop process and system-oriented control tools and KPIs to track process stabilization & data accuracy (LEAN, agile approach)
    • Develop SLA’s and KPIs, metrics to measure the current performance of our IT systems, ways of working, and propose action plans for performance optimization
    • Ensure adequate allocation of resources to support the existing IS IT infrastructure and business applications
    • Develop, implement, and enforce all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, and service provision
  • Financial and vendor management
    • Develop and manage the IT capital budget and operating spend and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives
    • Manage third-party vendors used in the implementation and support of the operations
    • Work with Thai Union Germany business leadership and TUE IS IT leadership to help identify cost savings opportunities
    • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Project portfolio management
    • Serve as the lead for strategic projects
    • Manage the portfolio of projects and key activities
    • Drive group IT projects in close coordination with regional teams

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/information science or related field
  • At minimum 5 years of experience managing and/or directing IT organization in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Superior understanding and proven experience in working with interfaced ERP (NAV or SAP)/ Manufacturing Execution System environments
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, team management, budgeting and office users’ operations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Hands-on person and solution-oriented
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in German & English
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly manner
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
